Space is polluted by satellites and other junk that is orbiting the Earth.  Using their understanding of gravity, students will look closely at space junk and explore innovative space clean-up techniques, such as the construction of a satellite with a solar-powered laser that deorbits space junk. Students will learn about why it is important to take care of the environment around them and will brainstorm about more ways to clean up pollution in space.
