Have you ever wondered why the Statue of Liberty is green?  In this experiment, we will answer that question through an exploration of oxidation and reduction (redox) reactions; looking for clues of a chemical reaction along the way.  Students will also be introduced to chemical formulas and why it is important to keep them balanced; matter can neither be created nor destroyed!
