Diffusion with Skittles
Summary
Diffusion with Skittles
The materials that are used to make skittles are colorful dye and sugar. The purpose of the warm
water is to dissolve the dye and the sugar. This makes it move the center of the plate because
there is less dye and sugar. The process is called diffusion. Diffusion is when particles move
from a high concentration to a place of low concentration. The sugar moves from the outer curve
to the center.
