Adding salt to the ice caused the ice to melt. The melting of ice process needs to borrow heataround it. This is known as an endothermic process. The small bag contained the ice creamingredients which weren’t cold like the ice. The heat from the small bag was used for the meltingof the ice for the large bag, which made the small bag cold.
